We had a bad wind storm on Saturday, winds around 110 miles per hour. It took all the stuff off the varanda and blow over the bbq and it is a mess inside. I can not fix it so Dave will have to whenever he is finished working long days (6 a.m. until after 7 p.m.) with the hydro company to get power back on for the people in New Brunswick. It is mostly around Moncton and up North. We where lucky to not lose power. No large trees around our hydro lines, just that awful wind that scared my poor cat. Jasmine dose not like loud noises and she was terrified that night. She thought someone was coming to get her. Poor Bay.
On a lighter note, I have been making bagels and bread again. Tried a new way to make bread and found a great new recipe for bagels. I made cheese bagels and plain bagels and bread in an unusual tin. Have a look.
LET US NOT FORGET OUR VETERANS ON NOVEMBER 11TH.
They gave their lives so we could be free. God Bless All of Them.
In Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow,
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead, Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe,
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high,
If ye break faith with us who die.
We shall not sleep, though poppies grew
In Flanders fields.
