The Neighbours and Mother Day Flowers

The Neighbors  came for a visit last night. The grass is finally green and they do love to eat it. We have a big pond behind the woods in this photo called "Ducks Unlimited".  It is protected and no one can hunt here. There are Canada Geese and different smaller ducks that live in the pond every spring and summer. It's hard to get down there to take photo's because it is very steep on the other side of these woods. If it wasn't I would go and take photo's. Maybe in the summer I may venture down.

For now I like it when these two come to visit. They came last year and it's nice to see them back.

I would like to take this time to thank Jacquire and Emma for their birthday wishes for my husband. Dave says thank you very much. He was very touched by your wishes.

I got a lovely gift of flowers from my gang as they call themselves. The kids and their partners sent me a lovely banquet of flowers for Mother's Day and they arrived yesterday evening.

My kids live in Ontario and they always send flowers for different occasions. Don't you just love
the beautiful colours.

We have been working all week and on the way home yesterday afternoon we stopped at a new
green house we found on the way to Shenstone and I got a patio tomato and some wave  pansies.

I just love the mix of colours. Yellow and white, purple and blues. It dose feel like spring now after such a long hard winter.

It's a rainy cold day today so I am keeping them inside for now. We still had frost the last 3 nights in a row and I don't want to lose them. I only paid $10. for the tomato plant and $5. for the 4 boxes of pansies.
We plan on using some old tires hubby has around the back of the garage and I am going to paint them and then put good black earth in and plant my flowers and garden plants in them when the weather gets warmer.

This is the front of my house where I feed my other birds, red wing black birds, jays sparrows and numerous others. I was even lucky enough to get a photo of a female golden canary in this next photo. She was not letting any others have some food but there is lots for all. Look how green the grass is finally getting.

And lastly I will leave you with a photo of Ms. Buttons who is doing her favorite thing on the weekend or any other day of the week.

I have allot of followers who just love her and I thank you.

I want to wish all the mothers out in blog land and the world to have a great Mother's Day with family and friends tomorrow.. Best wishes. Hugs to all. Do have a great day.
