2017 is almost a memory.

I hope everyone had a great New Year's party and all the best wishes for the new year 2018.

Anyone who likes to hike would love to wonder in these woods on a warm winter day. I love the snow on the trees, it looks so festive.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I hope you all don't over due on New Year's night. More dancing then booze. We will just watch the TV.  I got a lovely banquet of carnations from my son before Christmas. It was his gift to me. My gift from my daughter Crystal was her trip down here to help me for a week after I got home from the hospital after my shoulder surgery which went a little down hill with the nerve injection deflating my left lung.  It  was a great visit with her, since the last time I saw her was on her wedding day 8 years ago.

Jasmine wanted her get her Christmas picture too.

My neighbor Loretta gave us a great box of cookies. These are are favorite ones.

June from England sent me a great pair of fingerless mitts she makes and I really love them. Thanks June they fit great and I like them for driving.

June also sent me these goodies.
My friend Reba sent me some goodies as well. A cross stitcher knows what a cross stitcher likes to get for Christmas. Thanks Reba love everything you sent.

My husband has a detached retina that had to be fixed in Halifax, so we spent two days down there getting him fixed up and we have to go back next Wednesday to let the Doctor see how he is doing, so for now I live with a pirate. He will be off work for 6 to 8 weeks.

I have done alittle stitching of some nice charts, I did finish the lantern top, had to frog alittle and then do it the way I wanted, looks good now.

We do have alittle snow now.

We plan on a nice quiet New Year's, so I hope all who do go out to party. Party safely and have a responsable  driver to bring you all home safe and sound.
All the best for 2018 to everyone. Bye for now. Until next year. Be safe and healthy.

  4. Lynda Ruth: What a sweet post, it sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas.
So many wonderful gifts you have received.
Good luck to your husband and his eye, I had that problem once and never want it to happen again, I hate the laser treatments they did.

    Happy New Year
