My Angel has gone to heaven.

My baby girl died in my arm today at 3:15 p.m. We have been waiting for this moment but it is so hard to lose someone you have loved for the past 14 years and in Cat lives that is 70 years. She was laying in her basket in the laundry room waiting for us and when she heard us she cried out for us. Dave picked her up and she melted into his arms. He gave her kisses and told her he loved her. Then he gave her to me and I sat in my chair and rocked her. He had to go for gas so he lefted and he gave her a kiss goodbye.  She laid in my arms and cried again I kissed her head and told her I loved her and that she should let go and go join Coco in heaven. She laid her head back and gave one last cry and a big breath and she was gone. I wrapped her in her favorite blue towel and put her on the floor so Jasmine could say goodbye. She came and looked and then went away. I picked her up and carried her outside to sit in my chair and wait for Dave to return. He was back soon and I carried her to him. He took her and cuddled her and kissed her goodbye. We buried her under the same apple tree that we buried Coco under just in front on the opposite side and I put a branch of pussy willows in the dirt at the top of her grave. We said our goodbyes and came into the house. Poor Jasmine can't figure out where her sister has gone. I guess it will take a day or two for her to forget. I just wanted you to know about my brave cat and that she has taken a part of our hearts with her. I thank you all for caring. I will blog again in a week or two. Right now I can't see the key board for all my tears. Bye for now.

  1. I am so sorry, Lynda Ruth. Our precious four legged family members give us so much love and I know you will miss her dearly. Your description makes me cry, with her letting you know it was time and you telling her to be at peace. I'll be thinking about you!

We love our pets so much, they are our family. She will be happily pitter patting and bouncing around over the rainbow bridge with lots of friends. Hugs Lynda Ruth to you and Dave.

  12. I'm so sorry for your loss. 14 years is a good life for a cat and I'm sure she had a wonderful one with you. It was lovely that she waited to be with you at the very end and knew she was loved and cared for.
